Book Incerpt
The evershifting hallways filled with screams of terror and agony. No one, except the demons and the acherons knew the patterns.
This was not a place of sanctuary or healing. This was a place of hell and horror. This was a prison of torment.
Our heroes huddled in together in their cell. None of them dare breathe as they cowered from the sounds. They knew that any moment could be their time. The air suffocated them with dread and despair.
This was a place where hope came to die, and things worse than your darkest nightmares came to life. Sanity did not survive here. In hell, madness reigns supreme.
The door to the cell was opened, and a cat/human hybrid was thrown into the cell. The door then closed. Our frightened heroes breathed a sigh of relief as it was not yet their turn.
Would they ever escape or were they doomed to die a failed experiment? Few moments passed where they did not wonder if there was a way to escape this Infernal hell. They had made more plans than they could count and acted on none of them.
Sometimes they fantasized about what their life was like before. As this was a place of forgetfulness and the forgotten, none of them had an inkling of what their life was like before the torture and terror.
(It's just a rough draft, and I'm changing it to present tense; but I thought I'd showcase something serious.)
